TEHRAN, Sept. 28 (MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said if U.S. President Barack Obama delivers on his promise of change, Iranian and U.S. officials could meet anywhere and at any time.
“We have not yet judged Obama completely but we believe that his promise of change should be welcomed and everyone should help this change happen especially in the U.S. and in the policies of officials of this country,” the president noted.
“If they put what they say into practice, meetings can be held anywhere and at any time,” he stated in an interview with Al-Alam news network in Tehran on Sunday soon after he returned home from New York.
If the U.S. president is still determined to adopt a policy of change based on justice and humane principles, Iran is ready to help him, Ahmadinejad added.
“Everything depends on Obama’s determination… because hegemonic factions in the U.S. do not want to see the changes he has promised occur,” Ahmadinejad pointed out.
Ahmadinejad went on to say that certain groupings in the U.S. do not want to see the slogan of change take effect and they even do not let the U.S. president do his job.
