There are a number of reports over how Berlusconi overstepped the mark by a couple of jokes he made: one where he joked that women are falling over themselves to marry him thinking they could get his money if he dies before them. (No big deal imo and a very Italian sentiment at that). And for a joke about Hitler which the mainstream press are strangely reluctant to repeat.

But it doesn't take a lot of searching to find this joke since the Indian press has no qualms about it:

Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi, known for his public blunders, again sparked a controversy by cutting jokes about Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

Addressing a convention of the youth wing of his People of Freedom Party, the billionaire businessman said: “A little after Hitler died his supporters discovered he was in fact still alive.

”They went to look for him to convince him to come back and he replied: ‘Yes I will return but on one condition...
this time I will be evil, right?’“
