Jack Hunter and the war of name calling

by: Matthew Heimbach

The Left has a few phrases that they like to toss out to describe almost anyone under the sun. Ted Cruz, David Duke, and parents who are against Common Core are all given the same label by the Leftist Establishment: White Supremacist. White Supremacist can mean anything depending on who is using it.

Social Justice bloggers like to use the term to describe anyone supporting a “fascist” view of the family, because White society (and almost all societies throughout time since Adam and Eve) has the “supremacist” idea that the family is one man and one woman. Anything associated with White culture, society, or history is quickly labeled as supremacist from works of art to “heteropatriarchy.” Anything and everything is White Supremacist in modern America in the eyes of the Left; none are safe from this label if you stand for Traditional values or the belief that perhaps, just maybe, that the White race has a right to exist.

Trying to disprove to the Left that you are a “White Supremacist” is about as worthwhile as trying to count all of the grains of sand on the beach– it just isn’t going to happen.

The recent pathetic groveling of Jack Hunter, formerly known as the Southern Avenger, is proof enough that once you are targeted by the Left, there is no escape. You can run, you can hide, you can apologize, and you can kiss black babies from here till Judgment Day, but you cannot ever escape the label of White Supremacist.

Mr. Hunter formerly was one of the founding members of the League of the South , and a provocative radio shock jock where his comments on and off the radio were decidedly unpolitically correct. Jack Hunter is the epitome of most “hardline conservatives”, “libertarians”, and “paleocons” of the modern era, their talking points are all spot on and stand for the values of Tradition and culture until someone calls them on it. Standing on the decidedly edgy part of the conservative movement by writing for Taki Mag and frequently being on Michael Savage’s radio program, Mr. Hunter seemed ready to lead a new generation of conservatives to take a stand as Pat Buchanan did in the 1990’s. Unlike Mr. Buchanan though, Jack Hunter had none of the courage necessary to even stand by his own principles, let alone lead others. Fleeing faster than a Baptist caught in a liquor store, Mr. Hunter proved that when the chips are down, conservatives may talk big but they are cowards through and through.

Like most conservatives who decide they want to put profit ahead of principle, when Mr. Hunter was given the opportunity to work with Senator Rand Paul, he jumped at in. Mr. Hunter is the one who actually wrote most of Senator Paul’s book The Tea Party Goes To Washington and he was given an aide position to the new Kentucky Senator. Everything for Jack Hunter was going well until the accusations started coming in and the dreaded “White Supremacist” missile was lobbed. Then everything for Jack Hunter fell apart.

The first reaction of conservatives like Jack Hunter and countless others who place approval over honor was to deny. Denying the claims and comments you have made that broke with the Leftist narrative even when they are safely cached in internet cyberspace and written on countless pages is a childish but all too common way for conservatives to dodge accusations. Steadily raising your voice and shouting “No, No, No!” doesn’t work when you are six years old, and when the organized Leftist Establishment is after you it only puts blood in the water that calls the sharks in for easy prey.

The next stage of conservatives being labeled “White Supremacists” is to grovel, and that is exactly what Jack Hunter did. Jack Hunter jumped from news channels to talk shows to blog posts to beg for forgiveness from the forces of multiculturalism. Each appearance by Mr. Hunter became more haggard and emotional as he realized he was losing control of the situation. Denouncing his former comrades, all of his previously held positions, and begging for forgiveness from both Liberal and Conservative Inc. did not result in him keeping his job or anything he had hoped for. Mr. Hunter “resigned” from Senator Paul’s office in what was called “a mutual decision.”

What is clear to any outside observer is that no matter how many comrades Mr. Hunter threw under the bus, and no matter how many times he apologized, the Southern Avenger has left the building. Jack Hunter’s life was over before he even made it to forty.

Now that the Establishment had received its pound of flesh from this “White Supremacist” it was time to move on to feed upon a new victim. Jack Hunter had alienated all of his former friends and would never be allowed to sit at the cool kids club in Washington; he is a man adrift who will be forced to live out the remainder of his days in a bizarre modern form of Kafka ’s The Hunger Artist , slowly wasting away day by day eventually performing to an audience of one: himself.

Jack Hunter’s experience should be clear to everyone. selling out your comrades and debasing yourself won’t make you “not a White-Supremacist” in the eyes of the Establishment. They really don’t care what your actual beliefs are in the first place, it will simply make you a traitor to your friends and colleagues.

The tar pit of trying to explain away a label given to you my the Left is a fruitless endeavor. Many have tried before, and all have failed. A man could live eons if he was able to channel the years of combined time trying to fight the label of White Supremacist that various conservative politicians and groups have done over the past several decades. You will not win the battle to throw off the label because at the end of the day, the Left does not care about facts or reality, only their narrative. So, if you are a Traditionalist, veteran, conservative, TEA Party supporter, or Church going Christian you are on the Left’s list for name calling and derision to attempt to silence you from taking a stand against them.

As your moth
