One Dead, Two Hurt In Shootings Outside City Bars
Separate Shootings Occur In Northeast, Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -- Three people were shot, one of them killed, in separate shootings outside city bars early Saturday morning.

One of the shootings happened just before closing time at the Empty Glass Cafe on the 700 block of Adams Avenue, police said.

An argument between several women began inside the bar and it got carried outside, where men got involved, police said. Someone took out a gun and shot 29-year-old Jared Taylor twice in the back, then everyone else fled.

Taylor was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center but pronounced dead. Police were not reporting any arrests.

The other shooting occurred outside a bar in Southwest Philadelphia. Two people were hit by gun fire outside the Queen of Sheba Pub II on the 4500 block of Baltimore Avenue, police said.

There was no immediate word on the victims' conditions or what sparked the shooting.
