Boulderman injured in fight over Holocaust; two arrested

BOULDER- Through swollen lips Thursday afternoon, Blair Douglas Morris, talked about the facial cuts and bruises he suffered after getting into an argument about the Holocaust with two men who live in his apartment complex.
Morris, 49, who is Jewish, said a debate over facts of the mass execution of Jews during World War II erupted about 10 p.m. Wednesday while he and the two men, "who I thought were my friends," were eating pizza, drinking beer and watching television.
Although unsure of how the topic came up, Morris said one of the men egged him on, saying, "The Holocaust was just part of war, and that's what happens in war."

"I'm Jewish, and he says that to me?"Morris said Thursday. :[]

"He kept pushing me further and further, and I got very mad and said, 'You're nothing but a Nazi.' "
Simon Scribner, 37, of Boulder, and Donald Seiler, 44, of Boulder, were arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of third-degree assault and a bias-motivated crime. One of the men is suspected of making numerous anti-Semitic remarks, according to Boulder police.
Both are being held at the Boulder County Jail.
Morris was taken to Boulder Community Hospital, where he was given 14 stitches for cuts on his forehead, nose and the top of his head, according to police.
Morris said he also was treated for a bruised eye and a strained knee.
He's recovering at home.
