How Matisyahu became a pop phenomenon.

When I first heard the Hasidic Jewish reggae vocalist Matisyahu, I assumed his was a novelty act with distinctly limited appeal, destined to cause a small sensation among Heeb magazine subscribers and other Jewish hipsters with an overdeveloped sense of irony and secret shtetl lust—the pangs of nostalgia that periodically cause assimilated Jews to yearn for the good old days of piety and poverty in the Russian Pale of Settlement. Anyway, silly me. [color="Red"]Matisyahu is a hit with the goyim.

I wonder if his name is a joke? I think "Matisyahu" = "Matthew Jew"
Anyway, as far as it being "A hit with the goyim", that's true.
It's been played on the music channels constantly for a few months now. All the kids know the name now.
I want to see orthodox jewish girls hanging out with black rappers. Let's see if "Matisyahu" is fo real.

I have witnessed this strange phenomenon as well. Goddamnit, but when you think about it most "white" people are drooling RETARDS

I don't know. Young whites are very trsuting. They turn on the box and see/hear something over and over again. They figure it must be there for a good reason. "It must be popular... that's why it's on so much... this is what people like... I think I like it too..."
