Butler Co. Pediatrician Facing Drug, Sex Charges
The Butler County pediatrician facing a long list of child sex and drug charges appeared in court Thursday morning.

A judge set Doctor Mark Blankenburg's bond at $1 million.

Doctor Blankenburg is facing 27 charges including corruption of a minor, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and drug trafficking.

Blankenburg pleaded not guilty to the charges.

After the hearing Blankenburg was arrested and taken to the Butler County Jail.

If Blankenburg is able to post bond he is not allowed to practice medicine or prescribed drugs.

Doctor Blankenburg practices at the Pediatrics of Hamilton group in Hamilton.

According to court documents, Doctor Blankenburg's sexual conduct was with a boy under the age of 16 and occurred between 1998 and 2001.

The drug charges Doctor Blankenburg faces are for allegedly illegally prescribing drugs like Xanax and Oxycontin.

Doctor Blankenburg is scheduled to return to court next month.
