Jesse Jackson Plans March on Wall Street Over Mortgage Crisis

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- "Restructure, don't foreclose." That's the rallying cry as Rev. Jesse Jackson plans a march on Wall Street Dec. 10 and demonstrations in cities all across the country.

Jackson is calling attention to the mortage crisis that has plagued the country. "2.2 million Americans are in foreclosure, and 10 million more with subprime loans on the way toward foreclosure. The impact is the biggest economic threat to our economy since the great depression of 1929," Jackson said Wednesday.

Jackson warns that unless the government freezes repossessions and gives homeowners another chance, there will be no hiding from what he says will be an economic tsunami.
