In the NY Post recently did a story that the late John Cardinal O Connor leader of the NY Catholic Archdiocese in the 80s-90s,2nd in power only to the Pope had a jewish mother. O Connor's sister who is still alive at 80+ revealed this. She also revealed that their grandfather was a rabbi,who was close to former mayor Ed Koch.What a shock to hear that the epitome of Catholicism next to the Pope was passing.
