Rape suspect cop out of jail

KINGSTON - A police officer charged with rape for allegedly having sex with two underage girls has been released from the Ulster County Jail.

Tyrone V. Chrisjohn's $50,000 bail was posted on Friday, two days after he was charged with felony rape. Authorities allege Chrisjohn, 34, had sex with two girls, ages 14 and 16, while on duty as a village of Saugerties police officer in the summer of 2004.

Chrisjohn is a Saugerties resident and a four-year veteran of the village police force. He was suspended from his job upon being arrested Wednesday.

The cop at my daughter's school is an obese female who arrested a 6 year old girl for having scissors in her backpack. Cuffed the kid in front of everyone, and put her in the back of her squad car.

I have numerous first hand experiences I could share, and maybe I will at some point, that proves, to me anyway, that at least 90% of the cops are the enemy.

As I said earlier, there have been a couple that were decent, and helped me out. I will remember them when the day comes, and if they cooperate, I will consider them to be allies.

There sure are lots of dyke cops and use of recreational drugs ON DUTY is something that really staggers one who used to think that most police officers obeyed most of the laws. The only thing I ask of law enforcement is that A. they obey the law and B. they conduct themselves as professionals.

Nice car I learned how to drive in a 1970 GTO speed ometer said 140 and it would barry that with a 400 motor you could get it back up to 40 again before you would loose your nerve and it still had more peddl left to go so i never did figure out how fast it could really go.

I lucked out.I had the LEEP(Law Enforcement Education Program),plus the GI bill when I came home from Nam; and got a job in six months.I graduated at the top of my class and got my Masters in Criminology while working and applying for a federal job.I don't know if other regular white guys have that opportunity now or not.

Today;I "try" to train white men to defend themselves,but it's damn difficult as they have a very very different concept of right and wrong;so we're constantly at odds.

1. Entry Level Written Testing

The first segment of the selection process is a series of entry-level tests. All tests are scored on a pass/fail basis. The applicant must meet the minimum passing score on each test segment to be invited to the Physical Agility Test.

Nelson-Denny Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension Test: The applicant is tested for vocabulary, reading and comprehension skills. This is a two-part test.
Video Test: This is a video based multiple choice testing format in which applicants view typical situations they may face on the job, observe the elements present, analyze them and make a quick judgment about how to respond. Entry Level Study Guide.
Incident Observation and Report Writing Test: The applicant is shown a brief job-related video and asked to write an incident observation report.

2. Physical Agility Test

Applicants who successfully complete the entry level written tests will be invited back for the Physical Agility Test. Successful completion of the Physical Agility Test is required before continuing forward to additional steps.

Anchorage Police Department’s Physical Agility Test is short and intense and you must be in good physical shape to pass. All applicants must submit a completed Certificate of Physical Fitness Form signed by a physician in order to be eligible to participate in the test.

The test will consist of a quarter mile course. Throughout the course you will be required to complete the following tasks:

Wall Climb: Climb over a five (5) foot high, solid wood wall.
Simulated Body Drag: Drag a 165-pound Mannequin fifty (50) feet.
Horizontal Jump: Four (4) foot horizontal broad jump.
Stair Climb: Ascend and descend five (5) flights of stairs.
Revolver Dry Fire: Applicant must shoot an unloaded revolver six times with each hand (total of twelve trigger pulls).
While running the course, the applicant will wear a safety vest (weighing approximately 5 to 6 pounds) and a weighted belt (weighing approximately 7 pounds). You will have four (4) minutes to complete the test.

3. The Preliminary Interview

Applicants who are carried forward from the Physical Agility Test will be given a “Conditional Offer of Employment”.

The preliminary interview is a structured interview focused on behavior relevant to the essential job elements required for the position of Patrol Officer. A Background Specialist will assess the applicant’s interview skills, employment history, driving history, illegal substance abuse history and other relevant information, and determine if the applicant meets Anchorage Police Department standards.

4. Psychological Assessment

All applicants who have received a Conditional Offer of Employment and have successfully met established standards will be invited to take the Psychological Examination and interview with a State of Alaska licensed psychologist.

5. Polygraph Examination

All applicants will be required to submit to a Polygraph Examination.

6. Background Investigation

The Background Investigation is a critical examination of an applicant’s past work and personal history. The investigation consists of:

Criminal and civil history checks
Military records
Driving history checks
Credit history checks
Interviews with:
Spouses/significant others
Employers
Coworkers
Neighbors
Secondary developed references

7. Medical Assessment

Applicants who receive a Conditional Offer of Employment and successfully complete the other stages of the selection process will be required to submit to a medical examination by a licensed physician approved by the Department and the Municipality. The physician shall determine if the applicant is physically sound and free from physical defects that would adversely affect the performance of duties required by a patrol officer.

8. Chief’s Selection

A Background Specialist will present a list of all applicants who have passed all phases of testing, and who have met all of the Anchorage Police Department’s standards for employment. The final hiring decision is made solely by the Chief of Police.

9. Drug Screen

All applicants will be required to provide a sample to screen for drugs.

Don't think you'll find any overweight lesbians on the APD. As a matter of fact, accession standards are so high that APD is at only 60% of its recommended strength. Last year, 8 ex-Cleveland cops who were laid off applied for APD positions]immediately suspended from the force pending judicial outcome.

Unlike the NYPD, APD has never needed to endure a "Knapp Commission" type investigation.

I must admit that in reading posts about what goes on in the Lower 48, it sometimes seems like Alaska's on a different planet than the Lower 48. Unfortunately, diversity keeps oozing in through the cracks, and we're slowly becoming more like you folks down there.
