This almost reads like something from The Onion. Sadly, it sounds like they are serious.

Norman Brennan, director of the Victims of Crime Trust, calls the amnesty program, "no more than a public relations exercise." The victims' rights advocacy group proposes tougher penalties, including a mandatory five-year prison sentence for anyone possessing a knife.

"It's difficult to discuss the issue of knife crime without discussing the bigger picture of finding solutions to deal with the knife-carrying culture," says Frances Lawrence, an anti-knife activist. Her husband, Philip, a high school principal, was stabbed to death in 1995 while trying to protect a pupil outside his London school.

Next they will be disarming people of sticks and rocks.

The British Government (and the Jews behind it) succeeded in banning guns throughout Britain. So the next step in the plan is to ban knives. Some months ago, they propped up some "expert chef" puppets who swore that they never heard of any food preparation task for which long, pointed knives were especially advantageous. So there's definitely an agenda in England with regard to knife-control. I've heard that you have to get a special permit or something to own an axe or a hatchet.

If they were serious about crime reduction, they'd repeal all weapon control laws and issue guns to all citizens of good behavior. The taxes to pay for the guns would fall most heavily on the most crime-ridden neighborhoods, which would provide some incentive for their residents to curb crime in their vicinity. There's never a cop around when you need one because the criminals won't attack until they can see that they have overwhelming advantage on their side. Gun control is what lets criminals have that advantage.

Imagine how difficult life would be for criminals, if citizens could rely on each other to defend each other with guns. Criminals would not only fail in their crimes, they'd not survive an attempt to commit one because the nearest dozen citizens would become instant vigilantes, witnesses to the crime who were prepared to serve summary justice on the offender.
