Larry King died today, 87 years old. he had been treated for Covid-19, but the cause of his death hasn't been revealed.
King was the granddaddy of talk radio, starting in 1985.
I remember everyone watched him, but compared to Rush he seems kind of tame, although he put on a lot of callers, but they got a few seconds and maybe one complete sentence.
Really known for the suspenders, and I thought King kind of outstayed his welcome. His death reminds me what our information sources were like then; really controlled media, and Larry the only 'voice of truth.'
Actually, I thought he'd already died.
