Trudging around in the snowstorm today to get "my share of abuse" as the Stones put it (I like winter snowstorms because it's warm out), I chanced across the local tv news doing interviews in the PO. They asked my opinion of the recent speed limit raise, from 65 back to 70 on 63, the N-S state road running running the length of Missouri, and outside my door (the irony being I don't use a car at present). "I think it's absolutely fantastic," I said. Then he began to cut away not realizing the dramatic pause. "It will really save hours and lives." To, of course, flip the usual claims. They also asked if I had any resolutions, of course, this being the last day of year. I had nothing clever on that point, just to try to do everything a little better next year.
This is our second snowstorm of the season, the first came on the 21st. Here in the clean white NEMO.
People are very much like snowflakes: absolutely unique...and very much like every other.
Eh...spent the whole walk home thinking up a shtick on raising speed limits.
