The hidden camera investigation featured in this story shows multiple baggage handlers, mostly Blacks with a few Latinos sprinkled in there too it appears, helping themselves to other people's property packed away in their bags.

Not mentioned in the linked story but at the end of the report I caught was that there was said to be a "feeding frenzy" on the part of the baggage handlers when there was incidents of overhead departments being full and a need for all remaining bags to be checked, seems like this often resulted in passengers not getting the chance to remove their valuables.
The story blissfully ignores, mentions nothing, about the fact that the people caught on camera are almost 100% non-White, and goes on to argue that this is a reminder to passengers to never store valuables in their bags. Note how this mindset surrenders to the criminal behavior of the baggage handlers as a reality that cannot be changed, and charges the law abiding citizen to take measures to cope with this nonsense.
Another reason not to fly I would say.
