The committee has published a pamphlet in which it describes the type of groups that leaflet, and appropriate ways to respond. On its Web site, it recommends anyone who observes someone leafleting should call the police.

Webster Street resident Claire Bloom was "shocked and outraged" when she found the "hate literature" on her front lawn, and several of her neighbors' lawns, on Monday morning.

Local police have said the Oct. 7 fight was not racially motivated.

"If it were reversed, we'd be seeing Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and nobody would be calling it a racist rally," said Hurley resident James Leshkevich.

"We're tired of the white children getting beaten by the blacks and other non-whites, and the school officials, city officials doing nothing about it," Leshkevich said. "In our opinion, when you call someone a 'white nigger' before you change their life forever, that's a hate crime."

Leshkevich said he was responsible for putting Hedrick's mother, Rebekah, in touch with Turner.

"I called her because I felt no one was listening to her," Leshkevich said. "This poor woman has ended up being the victim in all this."

My question was more rhetorical than anything else . Whenever an anti-white is interviewed , they willing keep them anonymous , if the person requests it . Why not when they are pro -white ? ( rhetorical question , again )

Wayland residents shocked by racist fliers

WAYLAND -- Dozens of fliers touting racist ideology and denigrating Jews, immigrants and minorities were spread on the lawns in different neighborhoods early last week, police said.

"What shocked me is there’s somebody relatively local who wants ethnic cleansing here," said Stan Robinson, whose neighborhood, home to several of the town’s ethnic families, was littered with the fliers.

Robinson found the fliers on one of his daily walks through Springhill, Lee, Wheelock and Glover roads. The rolled-up bundles of three fliers and a pamphlet were sporadically left near the roadside on the edges of lawns of several homes, he said.

The literature is put out by National Vanguard, an organization that identifies itself as "an intelligent and responsible organization that stands up for the interests of White people."

Wayland Police received several phone calls from upset residents who received the fliers, but are not investigating, said Police Lt. Bruce Cook.

"Some people were rather surprised we couldn’t do anything about it," Cook said. "Technically, it could be littering, but it’s not illegal to disseminate racist literature, though it’s rather tasteless. It’s important for people to realize the Constitution and free speech work both ways."

A similar dissemination of National Vanguard literature was reported two weeks ago in Needham, where it is under investigation by Needham Police.

Cook said racist literature drops are reported in Wayland about once a year, and last spring pamphlets were found on residents’ driveways sealed in plastic Ziploc bags bottomed with sand so they wouldn’t blow away.

It is unclear whether certain homes were targeted this week.

Robinson, who is white, said he did not get the fliers on his lawn, though his neighbors, a Chinese-Cambodian couple, did. He was not sure who lived in the other homes where he spotted the fliers.

One of the neighbors who found the pamphlets in her yard is Barbara, who asked that her last name not be used. Barbara, who is Jewish, found the fliers dropped near the border between her property and her Chinese neighbors’ house.

"I just glanced at it and it was enough to make me offended," she said, mentioning a flier that brandished a photo of a white girl and the words, ’Missing: A Future for White Children.’ "And I wonder, is this anyone I know? Or just someone who swooped in and dropped it? Or is there more to come?"

The pamphlets state that National Vanguard does not engage in illegal activities or seek to harass non-white people.

At the same time it claims not to prescribe to notions of inferiority and superiority among races, the organization’s literature claims Jews have led most negative changes in Western society over the past century, non-white immigrants undermine American workers and degrade the social environment, and minority special interest groups have abducted the future of white children.

In the pamphlet, the organization outlines its propagandist strategy, one geared toward suburban America rather than the stereotypical skinhead.

One of National Vanguard’s 14 chapters is located in Boston.

"Even if there is an organization’s name attached to it, the person who dropped it here is still a faceless entity. Is this someone among us? Should I feel threatened? I don’t, I just feel offended," Barbara said.

According to the 2000 U.S. National Census, 92.2 percent of Wayland’s population is Caucasian, 5.3 percent Asian, 1.2 percent Hispanic or Latino and less than 1 percent African-American.

"I’ve always felt comfortable living in Wayland," Barbara said. [color="Red"]"It does appear to be a white town. But I’m pleased in our own neighborhood to have several people of different races and ethnicities. We’re all neighborly and sociable with each other and that’s a good thing."

A member of the Wayland-Weston Interfaith Action Group, Barbara said she is heartened by the area’s many houses of worship that promote cultural and religious understanding.

[color="red"] Robinson, who hosts the radio program "Truth and Justice" on WZBC 90.3 FM, enjoys the changing colors of the neighborhood he’s inhabited for 39 years.

"I’ve seen a gradual turn from pure white to a diversity that I myself really appreciate," he said.

Oh no! drop everything the Jew is offended. I am sure her parents or grandparents died in the camps, and now she has to deal with this.

I suppose it isn't all that difficult to say that now when the town is still 92% white, give it a few years while the town gets even more of the much welcomed "diversity" and see if he still has the same opinion. He will probably be passing out "hate." material in the not too distant future.

Needham, Massachusetts -- National Vanguard literature was distributed in Needham Massachusetts yesterday, and this morning police appear to be pissing themselves in fear:

"It is under investigation. We're determining who the group is, if they are threatening. We're making sure they aren't involved in [violent] crimes," Needham Police Sgt. Chris Baker told the Needham Times.

The suggestion that the group, composed primarily of ex-National Alliance members who chose to follow Kevin Strom, would do something violent -- or take any action at all -- was pretty ridiculous.

Local papers followed up the over-reaction from police with commentary from Jewish residents who received the fliers. White residents who received the fliers were not asked for their opinion.

In response to the fliers, the Needham Human Rights Committee has posted a webpage on how to "respond" to political views that question Jewish orthodoxy. The page is almost impossible to find on the town's website from the info given in the newspaper, but the address is:

The page, written by the ADL, a radical Jewish hate group, "reminds" everyone that people who oppose the Jews are fragmented and isolated individuals with "no popular support". It also says that, "Leafleting per se does not break any laws ... If you observe or even suspect someone leafleting, you should report it to the police immediately."

Having seen the reaction to a few fliers in the newspaper, on the internet, and from Jewish commenty, one continues to have the impression that the Jews, and those who support them, are mentally ill and nearly completely detached from reality.
