Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky said that critics of homosexuality because of religious beliefs.

"Regarding the general flow of gays, I can tell you that reading the Bible constantly, for 15 years, I am - a Christian, there is a problem in the philosophy of Christianity, so I am in support of Jesus Christ, not very much support this kind of movement, - Quoted him as saying Newsru with reference to Ukrainian News.

Nevertheless, Chernovetsky said that in the Ukrainian capital, met the constitutional rights of every citizen to hold mass actions, including homosexuals. He stressed that the well belongs to all people, regardless of their skin color and sexual orientation.
