Investigators say a woman staged the death of a 3-year-old to make it look like an accidental drowning.

Some very graphic photos of little Andrew Fox's face were show in court Thursday. The photos showed the small child's face covered with second degree burns and are too disturbing to show on television or online.

The jury also heard from witnesses who testified about the many excuses Veronica Herrera gave them about the death of her boyfriend's 3-year-old son.

Herrera is accused of drowning the boy in a tub of scalding water.
