Dog sex abuser gets new sentence

RANCHO CUCAMONGA - An Ontario man received a new sentence Monday of two years in state prison for sexually abusing his family's dog.
Ubaldo Vasquez Huizar lived with a 10-year-old female Rottweiler, named Mayra, in a large dog house in the backyard of his parent's home, according to Ontario police.
Huizar pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in April and was sentenced to three years in a state prison that would provide him with drug and psychological counseling.
The California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, however, refused to accept him, which landed him back in West Valley Superior Court on Monday.
Lawyers worked out a new plea in which Huizar was sentenced to two years in prison without any recommendations for where he be placed.
With credit for timed served, he will probably be paroled in about three months.

Alleged Dog Molester Had Previous Conviction
(CBS) ONTARIO, Calif. An Ontario man was in custody Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a Rottweiler.
Ubaldo Vasquez Huizar, 39, was arrested Wednesday at his probation officer’s office in Rancho Cucamonga.
Detectives working to notify Huizar that he needed to register as a sex offender, learned from neighbors that the Ontario man regularly sleeps in a large doghouse behind his home. [Highlight]Neighbors also told police that Huizar sleeps in the nude with his 10-year-old female Rottweiler and sexually assaults the dog with a broom handle and his hand.
Neighbors told police they have witnessed the assaults and heard the dog screaming in pain while Huizar is in the doghouse with her.
Neighbors have also seen Huizar dancing in his backyard with a broom handle while wearing only women’s underwear.[/highlight]
Huizar has long history of sexual misconduct, police said. [highlight]In 2004, he was convicted for exposing his genitals to an 11-year-old girl in his neighborhood.[/highlight] Because of a technical error, he was not told he was required to register as a sex offender.
The Inland Valley Humane Society took the Rottweiler, named Mayra, into protective custody. If Huizar is convicted of the assaults, Mayra will not be returned to the family.

I wonder though, will he claim the sex was consensual? It would seem that he has a pretty good case. After all, If the Rotty didn't like it, she could have simply ripped his throat out.
