Mexico: Thousands of teachers riot, burn busses: raw footage
July 17, 2007)--Thousands of members of the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca teacher's union clashed with police on Monday, after officials prevented the group from entering an auditorium.
At least four buses were burned and destroyed.
Hundreds of people also hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at police.
Members of Mexico's Federal Police were in full riot gear, and used tear gas against the protesters.
The clash started as members of the group tried to get to an auditorium to celebrate their own version of a popular annual festival.
At least 30 people including four journalists were reportedly injured in the melee.
