This "Debbie" willingly left her home in the car of a female friend of hers, who was the girlfriend of the Male who tormented her. She was not kidnapped from her home by strangers.

Consider the method that Ted Bundy used to lure women to their deaths.

I would have stopped my daughter's kidnapping, or died in the attempt. If she died in the attempt, then she would have been spared the fate that awaited her had the kidnapper succeeded. The father was a coward for failing to act.
