National bank auctions Auschwitz commemoration coins

Poland’s National Bank has began its first ever internet auction of special issue coins today, which are dedicated to the liberation of Auschwitz, 65 years ago this January.

Ten zloty silver coins and gold coins in denominations of 100 zloty are on sale for collectors who register at <a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="www.kolekcjoner.nbp.pl.">www.kolekcjoner.nbp.pl.

The auction will last for three days and is open to collectors from Poland and abroad. Each registered user can submit up to five bids.

Initial offering price for the limited edition coins are 64 zloty for the silver and 1142 zloty for the gold. (pg)
