This is the current Pope's heraldic coat of arms. Note the negro head. This is an ancient symbol known as a "Moor's head."
One aspect of the symbology from Christian theologians is that "the blackness of Africans is only skin-deep, and could conceal the whitest of souls."
From the pope's 1977 autobiography, his reason for including the symbol is that it represents the universality of the church, accepting all without distinction of class or race.
Now for my commentary. One can't help but notice the influence of jewish thinking on this. If your church is all about "accepting everyone", then why not a symbol representing all, like a rainbow? Why not an oriental head? Why is universality always represented with this ONE race, the one race that is most inferior to the others and able to cause the most harm to the white race? Why the need to find "whiteness" in only negro souls; why not also in hispanics or American Indians?
