I usually have never taken seriously anyone whose articles are published regularly in the pro-Israel mainstream media. These armchair “experts” on Islam and the Muslim world are nothing but a bunch Islamophobe parroting the same propaganda lies in different contexts. Steven Livingston’s recent article “Why Iran won’t bow to foreign pressure” published in the Washington Post, falls into the same category.

Steven Livingston introduces Iranian-born author and journalist, Hooman Majd as “Majd draws on his keen understanding of Iranian culture and history to explain what drives Tehran to resist foreign pressure to curb its nuclear ambitions”.

According to Majd’s personal website, he was born in Tehran in 1957 but has lived abroad since infancy. All his education was completed in England and US. After 1979 Islamic Revolution, Majd opted for US citizenship instead of returning to the Islamic Republic. However, in the Washington Post’s dictionary – Najd is more reliable than Dr. Ahmadinejad or other Islamist leaders, who lived under the US-Israel supported anti-Iranian dictatorship; educated in Iran; took part in the 8-year western-imposed Iraqi invasion; lived through 30-year-long US sanctions and served their motherland in various capacities.

Hooman’s article carries much truth about Iranian culture, nationalism and the Islamic regime. However, it also underlines the deceptive message against the Islamic Republic. For example, Tehran doesn’t have “nuclear ambitions”. It’s nuclear program is of civilian nature and follows all the NPT safeguards and prohibitions. There are 45 other countries which are carrying-on similar nuclear programs to meet their increasing power-consumption demands and for medical usages.

Najd said: “President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, that the West, meaning, the United State and Britain, still want to frame their relationship with Iran as one of arbab and nokar, or master and servant”. Now one doesn’t need a PhD to understand whom Najd is trying to cover. The governments of the US, Britain, Germany, France and other EU countries, know very well that Islamic Republic poses no security threat to them. It is their loyalty to the Zionist entity which forces them to gang-on the Islamic Republic.

Dr. Ahmadinejad is no “conspiracy theorist” when it comes to 9/11 or the Holocaust – as Najd calls him. There are far more Jewish and Christian historians than Muslims, who have challenged the Zionist narratives of these two event. None of the Western government has proved that Muslims were indeed involved in these two event for which they’re being punished. A Jewish scholar, Dr. Alan Sabrosky, in March 2010 interview had claimed that Israel was behind 9/11. Dr. Ahmadinejad doesn’t deny but questions the application of the Holocaust: “Why Palestinians are made to pay for the crime which they did not commit?” Historically, it were the Christian and Jew Nazis who killed millions of Gypsies, Christians and Jews in Europe during WW II.
