The trial of Kevin Alfred Strom on charges of child pornography has been continued to June 20, 2007 on motion of his public defender, who says she needs more time to review the documentation and evidence in the case, Overthrow.com learned today.
Overthrow is planning to cover the Strom trial live from Charlottesville.
On February 22, 2007, Strom's counsel filed a Motion for Discovery in which a number of interesting facts came out
1) Strom is contesting that the nude teenage girls specified in the government's arrest warrant are not under the age of 18.
2) The government has stated it has found photographs, other than the four Strom has been charged with possessing, that show nude children performing sex acts, and Strom has asked for a list of those additional photos.
3) Elisha Strom is sealed witness A Strom is charged with abusing, even though she has publicly denied it.
4) Strom says that Elisha was abusive to him during their marriage, once sending him to the hospital after beating him with a phone.
5) Kevin Strom would very much like his pictures back, even though a federal statute says that defendants charged with child pornography are not allowed to keep copies of the child pornography in their cells with them.
