One issue, according to Whitfield, who lost her son Nathaniel Cobbs on July 8, is the belief that the police are unfairly targeting minorities in the community.
“I’ve called the police before on things that was going on in the city, but when they come, they come prepared to hurt the person rather than solving the matter the way they should,” she charged.
