For whatever reason, Jenna the guard dog doesn't like dark skin. And the 4-year-old German shepherd really didn't like Andrew Owens, who worked as a handyman at Valley Oil in Yonkers. The dog bit Owens about a year ago...

Jenna's face was so viciously slashed that it cut down the eye socket. The eye couldn't be saved.
​And Owens has threatened to kill the dog in the past. So last week, it seems he finally tried to make good on his vow.

Owens decided to taunt the dog while it was on a leash. When the dog went at him, Owens slashed Jenna with a nine-inch knife so hard across the face that cut all the way down to the eye socket. Company owner Paul Tocco rushed the dog to a clinic, but emergency surgery couldn't save the eye.

The dog is now doing well. And Tocco doesn't know why Jenna doesn't like dark skin, since he never trained her to be that way.

But Owens is fairing a little worse. He was arrested at his nearby apartment and charged with felony cruelty. He's also been fired.
