Man arrested more than 1,250 times in jail again

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC News) -- Henry Earl, the man who has been arrested more than 1,250 times, spent another Thanksgiving in jail.

Earl, crowned the “World’s Most Arrested Man” by The Smoking Gun, was most recently arrested on Oct. 4 for public intoxication in Lexington, Ky.

According to Fayette County Detention Center records, where Earl is currently incarcerated, he has been arrested 1,267 times. His next court date is Dec. 5.

“He is somewhat of a superstar in his own little world,” County Detention Center Officer John Casey told ABCNews.com.

According to records obtained by The Smoking Gun, Earl’s rap sheet spans back four decades. He was first busted in Fayette County in July 1970, when he was 20 years old, for carrying a concealed weapon. He was arrested 33 more times in that decade alone.

Earl, whose arrests usually involve alcohol, The Smoking Gun reported, spent Thanksgiving behind bars for the third time in the past five years. He celebrated his 64th birthday in jail on Oct. 24.
