Johannesburg - The trial of a church bishop, his wife and two others accused of mutilating a 9-year-old girl for muti was postponed by the Alberton Magistrate's Court on Monday.
"The case was postponed to August 26 to await DNA results. They all remain in custody," Captain Katlego Mogale said.
Bishop Monde Tokwe, his wife Nolofefe Magasane, Fundisile Sidumo and Vusi Mofokeng are accused of murdering Yonela Skweyiya in May last year.
Tokwe and Magasane allegedly approached Mofokeng, a herbalist, when the membership of their church started declining.
Mofokeng allegedly told them to get human body parts that he would mix with muti to help bring people back to the church.
Skweyiya was kidnapped in Katlehong while walking to the shops to meet her mother.
Her body was found in an open veld nearby.
