PROSPERITY (WLTX) – The license for the administrator of Southside Residential Care Facility in Newberry County was temporarily suspended on Friday after the he was arrested earlier this week.

The South Carolina Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators voted to temporarily suspend the license after administrator Roy Bowers was arrested and charged with the neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death.

Bowers was arrested on Thursday after one of his residents, 59-year-old William Sealy, died earlier this week.

The Board will continue to investigation. They say Bowers will be able to attend a hearing at a future date to show cause why his license should be reinstated.

Bowers was first licensed in July 1993.
