CONCORD— A man working in his house early this morning discovered a cat burglar in his kitchen, police said.
The man was working in his home on the 700 block of Daffodil Way about 12:15 a.m. when he heard sounds from his kitchen. When he went to check, he found a man holding a flashlight, said Cpl. Kerry Cerletti.
The man ran through the rear of the house, dropping a night vision scope as he went. A search of the area with assistance from a helicopter turned up nothing, Cerletti said. The burglar got away with a video camera.
Police found that the burglar entered the house through a rear sliding door that had been left cracked open.
The burglar was described as black, in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall and more than 180 pounds, and wearing a large white T-shirt and black jeans.
