A man who applied to become a police officer in San Diego has been arrested after admitting on his application that he had sexual contact with a child and had viewed child pornography.

Thirty-eight-year-old Robert Williams' apartment was raided by police after he answered 'yes' to a background questionnaire, filed last month.

Police said computers, cameras and pictures of 'exotic girls,' were seized.
