“Is he senile?” was the first question that crossed my mind after I read Peres words said in July 26 during an interview with historian Benny Morris for the Jewish-British Tablet magazine. Then I remembered: there is no chance of that: Peres is under an extensive anti-aging program for more than twenty years. Ironically, the specialized clinic of his physician is next to Rabin Square in Tel Aviv (though Peres get special service in Jerusalem).

Let’s see some of the prodigy’s words during the interview:

"There is in England a saying that an anti-Semite is someone who hates the Jews more than is necessary."

"Our next big problem is England. There are several million Muslim voters. And for many members of parliament, that’s the difference between getting elected and not getting elected. And in England there has always been something deeply pro-Arab, of course, not among all Englishmen, and anti-Israeli, in the establishment."

"They abstained in the [pro-Zionist] 1947 U.N. Partition Resolution, despite [issuing the pro-Zionist] Balfour Declaration [in 1917]. They maintained an arms embargo against us [in the 1950s]; they had a defense treaty with Jordan; they always worked against us."

"They think the Palestinians are the underdog. In their eyes the Arabs are the underdog. Even though this is irrational. Take the Gaza Strip. We unilaterally evacuated the Gaza. We evacuated 8,000 settlers and it was very difficult…Why did they fire rockets at us, for years they fired rockets at us. Why?"

"For eight years they (Hamas) fired and we refrained from retaliating. When they fired at us, the British didn’t say a word."

It didn’t take long to recognize the pattern. In the past, I reported on an article that appeared in Haaretz on July 19, 2009 and was titled: “Is the Vatican Training Hezbollah?” Let me bring here the main point on my report:

“The piece is so clumsy that it is difficult even to think of one international reader taking it seriously. The text fails to support the title’s claim. So, what’s the point? Was this designed to be a piece of disinformation? If that’s the case, then it is difficult to see the point. I can’t see future Hezbollah soldiers asking to be recruited by the Vatican for training as a result of their reading this article. Moreover, as pointed out, the Israeli soldiers are already convinced that the Vatican, the Hezbollah and any foreigner are part of the enemy. “Everybody is against us,” claims the Israeli mantra-turned-into-mythos. Thus? No disinformation. To me, it looks as a sophisticated extortion attempt by the State of Israel toward the Vatican. ‘Behave; otherwise we will publish more embarrassing lies on serious international newspapers we control.’”

In other words: this interview was operative; it had intentions beyond information dissemination. That’s also the case with Peres recent comments.

Peres was widely seen in the media as responding to remarks made by U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron, who during a recent trip to Turkey accused Israel of turning Gaza into a "prison camp." But also this doesn’t make much sense. There is more in Peres words that an infantile answer to that claim.

Let’s take a closer look at the situation in England, one recent event is perfect for this. 218 surveillance cameras are placed in the Muslim areas of Birmingham, namely Sparkbrook and Washwood Heath. In June, Big Brother Watch described the cameras as "excessive surveillance." Denizens have placed plastic bags over the cameras to sabotage their work. Since this scheme (formally called “Project Champion”) targets mainly the Muslim population, it shows discrimination of the UK government towards Muslim citizens. Moreover, this is a brutal violation of article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Peres – an Israeli citizen last time I checked – had no right to intervene in a British inner issue. Especially when his claims are obviously wrong.

In Londonistan (see link at the bottom of this page) British journalist Melanie Phillips exposes the discrimination that Muslim citizens of the UK suffer in London. Her excellent work seems to accord with the reports appearing in the general media: the UK is a discriminating society. If anti-Semitic at all, it is anti-Arab and not anti-Jewish. After all, a princess there cannot merry an Egyptian man (funny accident, isn’t it?).

Not senile and not rebuking Cameron. Peres had a different thing in mind. He was speaking to the British Jewish community through a Jewish paper and over the head of the general British public. He was presenting a plan of action. Pay attention to the words: “Our next big problem.” Peres was exposing the Mossad assessment of the situation in England and presenting the direction of action to be expected from international Jewish organizations in the following years. Does that mean a false flag attack, or just a mass attack on the Muslim community through the Jewish owned and manipulated media? We’ll wait and see.
