This isn't even a case of someone saying something directly to the person, or touching them, etc.

In private e-mails, this man said he thought a woman was fat and gross.

In another, he said (in response to a death) that it 'should've been' another person. A morbid joke, but a joke nonetheless.

"..Sam Haskell, the former worldwide head of television at william morris... he is the executive chairman ceo of the miss america organization.."

"..overnight, dick clark productions -- which produces the miss america pageant's telecast -- cut ties with the miss america organization over that explosive series of internal e-mails. friday morning.. some not-so-crowning moments for miss america ceo sam haskell... a large collection of internal e-mails - obtained by the huff post - but not yet verified by our parent network nbc-- reveal haskell frequently made inappropriate remarks about former miss america winners... after winning the miss america pageant in 2013, mallory hagan became close with haskell and his wife.. but later, as several e-mail exchanges indicate, haskell seemed to fixate on hagan, criticizing her sex life and her weight... quote: "o-m-g she is huge - and gross..." haskell wrote in one e- mail .hagan says she believes haskell also played a role in ending her career as a pageant coach... in other e-mails.. haskell seemed to target kate shindle -- miss america 1998 -- after she released a book questioning the miss america board's decision to pay him a 500-thousand dollar consulting fee... in december of 2014.. a colleague sent haskell an e-mail offering his condolences on the death of a former miss america -- the subject line: quote :"it should have been kate shindle." haskell replied: "thanks so much coach...even in my sadness you make me laugh." .."

"..in tupelo today, i spoke to keri mcmillin, a mrs. mississippi winnerin 2010, and now a pageant coach herself.... she know's haskell's wife mary donnelly haskell. whowas miss mississippi in 1977... mcmillinreacted to the new revelations. keri mcmillin, former mrs. mississippi: "i was a little bit shocked - saddened - that the ceo of the organization that i love dearly would say the kinds of things that he did about his former miss americas. it's one thing to have your opinion -- and everybody's entitled to their opinion -- but it's also different that just being mean spirited..."

^^^That's an interesting comment.

We're entitled to have an opinion....unless someone thinks it's 'mean'.

I wonder who wanted his job, because the subject(s) of the e-mails would not have known they existed, nor ever heard the comments, if not for them being released.
