The small town of King, NC is 95% or better White. 5000 people marched last fall in support of the Christian flag flown at the Veterans Memorial after a upset resident threatened a lawsuit unless it was removed.

Steven Hewitt (rhymes with jewitt) was given 4 weeks out the year to fly a flag of his choice and recently announced he will fly Buddhist, Muslim and jew flags.

This controversy achieved saturation news coverage last fall.

What I sensed more than Christian love from the angry, uh, uh, Christians, was White hostility. These people were pissed to be told that the flag was a violation of church and state, and was gonna have to come down

I loved every twist and turn of the news coverage as the ACLU, SBI, Police SWAT team, Stokes County Militia and run of the mill patriotards camped out for weeks at the memorial to see what the others were doing. I'm surprised this hasn't involved violence as of yet.

I know Don Hewitt was the jew producer of 60 minutes. I can't help but wonder if Steve Hewitt is kin folk.
