SEATAC, Wash. -- Every holiday season for 25 years there were Christmas trees at the airport serving Seattle. But one complaint -- accompanied by the threat of legal action -- was enough to get them removed.

Officials at Sea-Tac Airport said a rabbi with the Central Organization for Jewish Learning calls them offensive. He hired a lawyer and threatened to sue -- demanding the airport put up an eight-foot menorah to balance the message of the Christmas trees.

An airport spokeswoman said the two sides couldn't reach an agreement before the suit was to be filed. So all 15 trees were removed, though other holiday decorations remain.

The good rabbi was probably on his way to give a lecture at a Baptist seminary.

Will this dry up the Judeo-Xains donations to Israel? Do pigs fly?

I find the presence of Jews, and particularly of Rabbis, in my country deeply offensive. I am going to sue the government to allow equal opportunities, so as well as so many Jews we can have a lot of 6 foot uniformed Nazis going around as well, just to balance out opportunities and to ensure equality and diversity and to allow expression of alternate but equally valid cultural choices.

I thought read in one of the newspapers here about a synagogue at the Naval Academy. It would be interesting to start some lawsuits and threats of lawsuits against the jew religion.

Why, did he lose a nickle in a pine stand?

This, as the dreidel headed [K]ike erects a 50 foot chanukah bush At Lincoln Center, competing with the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree ceremony, decked out in the national colors of the Israeli flag, topped with a six-pointed 'snowflake', in the not-so-clever guise of a 'holiday tree'.

You always hear the argument that Christmas trees are a religious symbol while menorahs are secular. That is a load of kike bullshit. What we know today as Christmas trees predate Christmas and are a secular symbol, first used by the Germanic tribes to represent fertility and eternal life. Since evergreen trees kept their foliage year around, they were used.

Menorahs, on the other hand, are religious symbols:

From Wikipedia

The holiday was called Hanukkah meaning "dedication" because it marks the re-dedication of the Temple after its desecration under Antiochus IV. Spiritually, Hanukkah commemorates the Miracle of the Oil. According to the Talmud, at the re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem following the victory of the Maccabees over the Seleucid Empire, there was only enough consecrated olive oil to fuel the eternal flame in the Temple for one day. Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days - which was the length of time it took to press, prepare and consecrate new oil.

I saw this story on the news last night. The station, went out of their way to portray this dirty Jew as just a friendly Rabbi who wanted the Christmas tree to stay, he thought it was terrible it was gone ! ;)

Then they elaborate a little more, he wanted a big menorah right beside the tree, & launched a multi million dollar lawsuit. The airport could not afford to lose this in court, so the tree went, apparently the people at the airport seem to think Jews win an awful lot of lawsuits.

There are hardly any Jews in Wash anyhow, the Mex's are all Catholic, the Asians, whites & whatever else, none of them want that Menorah either.

I'm surprised this story made national news. The Jews will likely get their way in the end, they always do. The ADL will go into attack mode against the "anti-Semites" at the airport, maybe there will even be a permanent holohoax monument there as well?

The Port of Seattle says it had little choice. It says a Seattle rabbi with the Central Organization for Jewish Learning hired an attorney and threatened to sue if the airport ....

[color="Blue"] Watch the video
There will be no more Christmas trees at Sea-Tac Airport this season after the Port of Seattle received at least one complaint about them.

For more than 25 years, the airport has celebrated the holidays with Christmas trees over its entrances. But overnight, the Port of Seattle ordered all 15 trees removed.
