An Ontario Superior Court judge has ordered an Edmonton man to pay Ottawa lawyer Richard Warman $50,000 in damages for death threats and defamatory comments he's been posting about him on the Internet since 2006. In upholding a civil lawsuit brought by Mr. Warman, Justice Lynn Ratushny ordered William Grosvenor to make a public retraction and remove Internet postings containing the offending comments. Mr. Warman is a prominent activist against Internet hatred. Among other things, Mr. Grosvenor published maps showing how to get to Mr. Warman's home, described him as a "Dead Jew Walking," and repeatedly called for his murder.
