Snoop Dogg Arrested at London Airport
Rapper Snoop Dogg was released from jail on bail Thursday after the rapper and several members of his entourage were arrested over an altercation at London's Heathrow Airport on Wednesday night.
"Snoop has been released on bail," his attorney, Peter Binning, told the Associated Press. "He will return at a later date."
Binning said Snoop Dogg was released without charge and would leave the country to honor concert commitments in South Africa.
The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, and his posse were en route to Johannesburg, South Africa, when they got into a skirmish on Wednesday night, Scotland Yard told PEOPLE. The entourage apparently did not have permission to use the business class lounge, where the alleged fight occurred.
The rapper and his friends were denied entry into the lounge because some of the members of the party were flying first class, while others were flying economy class, said Richard Goodfellow, a spokesman for British Airways, which runs the lounge.
According to police, the group became abusive and an altercation ensued in which seven police officers received minor injuries. The injured officers mainly suffered cuts and bruises, with one sustaining a fractured hand.
"The party was told that they would not be permitted to board their flight, and officers then attempted to direct the group to baggage reclaim," a police spokesman said.
A British Airways rep said they have sent letters to the rapper and his party telling them that they are banned from all future travel on the airline.

i hate it when these ditzy news anchors on CNN refer to him as 'Snoop', like we all know and love him. Who the fuck do these people represent? Like 1% of the population, the 1% that needs to be incinerated.

London | Snoop Dogg has accepted responsibility for using "threatening words or behavior" in a brawl last month at Heathrow airport.
The 34-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, appeared at Heathrow police station and "accepted a caution for a Section Four Public Order Act matter, using threatening words or behavior," police said Thursday.
A caution means a person has accepted responsibility for the offense, and a record will be made. No further action will be taken, police said.

British Bobbies don't carry guns. In America, the minute you say " I didn't do anything', they put their hand on their gun and tell you to shut your mouth.
Cops are getting alot more trigger happy in America ever since 911, it seems like. They sense people are more ready to accept police action, because of Bush's constantly telling them we need a police state to preserve our liberty.
we still got over 2 years left of Bush? you have got to be kidding me. This has been the longest 8 years in political history.
I like the idea of police not carrying guns, I find it alot easier to feel sympathy for them when they get their ass kicked, at least they didn't need a gun to enforce the law. Police need guns because criminals have guns, but how many police are killed because the criminal swipes their gun? Alot.

Pres. George Bush said the terrorists / evil-doers hate us because of our freedoms. So.. his solution is to eliminate our freedoms- then they won't hate us. Too logical.

actually, the tradition of English police not carrying guns is very interesting. It actually grew out of a christian revival, I heard the story once and it was fascinating, but I can't find it on google.
This guy led this massive revival through england and Wales, and eventually, it was so powerful, they opened up the jails and let all the criminals loose, and there wasn't any need for guns for years after that, not a single crime committed necessitating a gun for many, many years, even decades.
