School 'Razorblade' Attack

[UK] A jury has heard a 13-year-old girl describe how she was "scarred for life" when a classmate slashed her across the face.
Sheffield Crown Court was played a video recording of a police interview Shanni Naylor gave after she was attacked in a classroom at a Sheffield comprehensive school by another girl.
Both girls were 12 at the time of the incident.
In the recording played at the trial of the alleged attacker, Shanni describes how she was in an English class when the other girl approached her.
She said the other girl said to her "I hate you, you f*****g bitch" before launching her attack.
Shanni told the officer: "I was shocked. That was when she slashed me and I went down."

The teenager said: "I was scared and mad because she just attacked me and left me scarred and I saw blood coming down my face and on to my jumper."
Shanni told the police that immediately after the incident she thought: "Oh my god, why's she doing this?"
The court heard how Shanni was slashed four times during the incident on October 19 last year and needed 30 stitches.
Cross-examined via a video link, Shanni was asked a series of questions about a fight she had with the defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, the day before the incident.
She told the court how the pair began hitting each other after she intervened to stop the girl attacking one of her friends.
The defendant, now 13, who is Somalian and sat in the court with an interpreter, denies one charge of wounding Shanni with intent to cause GBH.

Police Chief William Welch said conflicts between Somalis and other residents seem to be based on culture clashes rather than racial unrest. Somali students have been involved in recent fights at Lewiston High School. Three Somalis were charged with aggravated assault Thursday following an attack on another Lewiston man.

WTF? I thought the victim's name must be protected not the offender's. At least what everybody keep blabbering about in the Duke case. We see the boys faces and backgrounds everywhere. What legal reasons protect that somalian animal?

Personally, I think the white girl needs to be sent to more sensitivity training, in order that she not provoke such an attack again. BTW, does anyone here know yet if the Somali girl has sued the UK school system for culturally depriving her of her ancient Somalian face-slashing razor? Deprivation of such cultural artifacts could be construed as racism, you know...
