Clarksville Gang Rapes have Indiana women on edge

Clarksville and New Albany police have been investigating at least 4 reported gang rapes in recent months.

In February, 5 teens were arrested for the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl on a playground, 3 were charged as adults

Then, in the past 2 weeks, there have been 3 more reported assaults.

On May 23, a woman says 3 men forced her into a car outside Good Times Bar and Grill in New Albany, took her to an apartment and raped her. They were arrested.

The same day, another woman says she was tricked by two Hispanic men at Jersey’s Bar in Clarksville, driving them to an apartment, where something in a drink made her go numb.

And this past Saturday, May 31, a 24-year-old woman says she met 4 Hispanic men at America’s Best Sports Bar, who agreed to drive her home. She says they put something in her drink, and raped her.

Police say the groups of attackers in all 4 cases, are different men, and that the cases are not related.

Police will not talk to WHAS about the cases and they’ve referred all questions to the County Prosecutor, but he’s out of town until next week.
