Tajik President Imomali Rakhmonov said here Thursday that his government supports internationally Iran's achievements, especially the country's peaceful nuclear technology and program.

Rakhmonov, receiving credentials of Iran's new ambassador to Tajikistan Ali-Asghar Sherdoost, said united stances of Iran and Tajikistan would be in their favor in the course of globalization.

He said Iran and Tajikistan can help solve regional problems and bolster global peace and stability through taking joint stances.

Wishing Sherdoost success during his ambassadorial mission, Rakhmonov also hoped for further improvement of the Tehran-Dushanbe ties while the diplomat serves as Iran's envoy in the Republic.

Sherdoost arrived in Tajikistan on Saturday as Iran's fourth Ambassador to the Republic.

Since 16 months ago, Iran's Embassy in Tajikistan has been managed by a caretaker.
