In St. Paul, Minnesota the school district has spent nearly 3 million dollars on training aimed at classroom teachers to be aware of white privilege and encouraging them to treat the black students differently.

Now, one black teacher says that not only has St. Paul’s policies failed, but he was ignored and had his job threatened when he tried to bring it up.

Aaron Benner teaches 4th grade in an almost all minority school in St. Paul. He says when he complained the students’ behaviour has gotten out of hand, he was nearly fired.

On a recent, O’Reilly Factor, he talked about the chaos in his school, including trying to teach while students from other classes run in and destroy computers and getting punched by a student. In both of these cases, he said little was done to stop the kid from doing it again.

“That’s mind-boggling, where are the consequences?” Benner asked, adding that these policies of ignoring bad behavior is actually “crippling or black student in St. Paul by making excuses” and letting them get away with thuggery all in an effort to ease white guilt and preach white privilege.
