QUINCY, Mass. -- A Boston man is accused of shooting at a state police cruiser while trying to flee from authorities.

State police say 19-year-old Rico Perry of Boston was wanted for an incident in the city earlier in the day. When a state trooper tried to stop Perry on Blue Hill Avenue in Milton last night, he allegedly took off and fired at the cruiser while being followed by the trooper.

After Perry's vehicle became disabled by a tire deflation device on Route 3A in Cohasset, state police say he fled on foot, but was later seen leaving the scene in an another car.

That vehicle eventually collided with police cruisers on Nantasket Avenue in Hull and Perry was arrested. He faces arraignment on numerous charges today in Quincy District Court.

No one was injured in the incident.
