We all know about the boy that got stuck in the gorilla enclosure in Cincinnati over the weekend. Now the parents face charges of neglect, and a criminal charge seems like it might be old hat to the boy’s father (emphasis added is mine)…
"The boy’s parents are 32 year old Michelle Gregg and 37 year old Deonne Dickerson. They are now being investigated by the Cincinnati Police Department for negligence. Dickerson has a litany of criminal convictions on his resume. His criminal record includes charges of burglary, firearms offenses, drug trafficking, disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and kidnapping."
As a parent I’m reticent to judge because I (along with all other parents) know how difficult it can be to keep track of multiple kids, especially when they’re at an age where they Just. Don’t. Listen.
That said, having a rap sheet doesn’t exactly inspire parental solidarity. It’ll be interesting to see how this continues to unfold.
