The Jewing of Western Music: Atonal Music

Most of you have, at some point in your lives, heard a 5-year-old kid try to play a musical instrument. It sounds like crap! It sounds like a cat being strangled.

Well, that horrible sound is what atonal ("ay-tonal") music sounds like. It sounds flat and freaky. In a word: ugly.

So, you've got beauty in White Western music vs. ugly in atonal music.

There's no emotion in atonal music (other than disgust: "what's that horrible noise?"). Call it "emotion-free" music (which is unusual, since most composers try to conjure up feelings within listeners).

Adolf Hitler's government warned of the Jewing of White Western music [1].

The Jew, Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951) pioneered atonal music. Atonal music doesn't have a "home key." White Western music is written in a home key (such as F). That means that a song begins and ends in F. (You can make atonal music yourself: just pick up a guitar and start plucking it like a madman, making as much crazy noise as possible).

(Most rock music today is tonal, but, it's still ugly and emotionless. Schoenberg must have "rubbed off" onto today's rock musicians).

.

[1] Web quote: "Atonality emerged as a pejorative term to condemn music in which chords were organized seemingly with no apparent coherence. In Nazi Germany, atonal music was attacked as “Bolshevik” and labeled as degenerate (Entartete Musik) along with other music produced by enemies of the Nazi regime. Many composers had their works banned by the regime, not to be played until after its collapse at the end of World War II."
