Twenty one policeman have been lightly [sic] injured by firearm shots this saturday night at the Mureaux during the skirmishes against a hundreds "youths". The confrontations started around 9 PM in the Bizet sector at the heart of the Musicians quarter. The anti-riot forces and the public servants of Yvelines heard four or five firearm shots and 21 policemen had been wounded by leads of caliber 12 at the legs level and stomach.

"The policemen are only lightly injured, specifies Christian Loiseau, the county's director for public security of Yvelines. None of them had to be hospitalized."

Erick Sabos, the county's delegate UNSA, worries about "the rise of violence against the law officers and conveys support toward his injured colleagues."

Since monday night the Musicians quarter have become the theater of urban violence after the death of a 29 years old "young man", "native" of the town. The latter has been shot down on the 7th march at the toll checkpoint of Courtevroult (Seine-et-Marne), during a race pursuit with the police at the highway A4. He was an icon of the Musicians quarter. Mediator of the town, he totalized already thirthy-five condemnations. Inside of the car, the law officers forces retrived hoods and weapons.

Addendum: According to Romandie News, the police consider the hypothesis of an ambush. Several dozens molotov cocktails have been retrieved at the scenes.
