Report: U.S. Journalist Killed, Second Critically Wounded In Attack In Libya

According to widespread reports–but none official yet–war photographers Tim Hetherington and Chris Hondros have been killed in a mortar attack in Libya today. Hetherington, who was nominated this year for an Oscar this year for his work on a documentary about U.S. troops in Afghanistan, was reportedly killed in Misrata. ABC cites colleagues for the report. According to various sources, Hetherington was in a group of journalists hit by mortar, including Chris Hondros, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated photographer, who Vanity Fair reports is in critical condition.
