Gemma Dorman, 23, was repeatedly knifed in the stomach and leg by a man who walked up to her in a packed street before throwing away the weapon.

Gemma’s new boyfriend helped police with a description of the attacker. Witness Alex Lewington said: “I took my T-shirt off and tried to stem the blood.

“There was loads of blood everywhere. She had a huge slash wound on her stomach.”

Gemma’s family described her in a statement as “beautiful, charming, sweet, popular, funny, charismatic and loving”.
