POA'd off: Leaders of the San Francisco Police Officers Association have never been shy about expressing their feelings - but they went over the top when their union "brothers and sisters" at the local labor council called for all charges to be dropped against seven men accused of the 1971 ambushing of Sgt. John Young at Ingleside Station.
The seven, allegedly former members of the Black Liberation Army, were accused in January 2007 of Young's murder.
"We expect nothing less than they rescind it and apologize," said a fuming POA President Gary Delagnes.
From the sound of things, he'll get both.
"I had to leave the meeting early. I didn't even see the resolution until it was a passed and on my desk the next morning," said labor council leader Tim Paulson.
"I haven't signed it. I want it revisited and I've expressed how pissed off I am that delegates thought this was their business," Paulson said.
OK, Tim, but how do you really feel?
