US Cities Running out of Water

by Jeff Davis

The New York Times reports from Atlanta: “For more than five months, the lake that provides drinking water to almost five million people here has been draining away in a withering drought. Sandy beaches have expanded into flats of orange mud. Tree stumps not seen in half a century have resurfaced. Scientists have warned of impending disaster. And life, for the most part, has gone on just as before. The response to the worst drought on record in the Southeast has unfolded in ultra-slow motion. All summer, more than a year after the drought began, fountains sprayed and football fields were watered, prisoners got two showers a day and Coca-Cola’s bottling plants chugged along at full strength. On an 81-degree day this month, an outdoor theme park began to manufacture what was intended to be a 1.2-million-gallon mountain of snow.”

Well, Atlanta has been under black rule for decades now. One might think the blacks must have mastered the art of self-government and learned to deal with something as obvious and as menacing as a prolonged drought, right? And if you believe that, I have this bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.
Back in 1913, William Mulholland built a 233 mile aquifer, including an eight foot diameter pipeline to bring water to Los Angeles from the Colorado River. It’s hard to believe today, but politicians planned ahead and worked with engineers to insure a steady flow of water for the population. Most mayors today are either liberal or non-White and more interested in their next rendezvous with a mistress or drug dealer than doing something that might preserve or improve infra-structure.
Eventually, as always, the “hated white man” had to step in and do what the blacks failed to do. The New York Times notes “By September, with the lake forecast to dip into the dregs of its storage capacity in less than four months, the state imposed a ban on outdoor water use. Gov. Sonny Perdue of Georgia declared October ‘Take a Shorter Shower Month.’ And Saturday, Mr. Perdue declared a state of emergency for more than half the state and asked for federal assistance, though the state has not yet restricted indoor water use or cut back on major commercial and industrial users, a step that could cause a significant loss of jobs.”
The article goes on to spin all the excuses that attempt to shift the blame from Atlanta’s African rulers. The problem in Georgia and the Southeast as a whole is twofold:
First off: there has been some climate change. Contrary to what Al Gore and his acolytes are shrieking, it is NOT certain what is causing this change and it may well be something completely natural and unrelated to any human activity. Any first year meteorology student can tell you that the climate is CYCLIC and has been in constant flux everywhere since the dawn of time. But true, we are going through a warming phase now and also one of extended drought. There was a similar episode coincident with the Great Depression known as the “Dust Bowl.”
Secondly, the current drought is being aggravated by the presence of huge numbers of non-productive individuals, who consume natural resources like locusts while contributing little-to-nothing in return. America has 300 million people. 100 million are from the Third World. These people from the Third World are overloading our infra-structure, producing little in proportion to their numbers, lowering competency in many professions and predictably turning America into a Third World nation. The few important jobs, they are doing, were previously being done -better- by Whites at a higher pay scale.
Contrary to endless propaganda from the Open Borders crowd, the Latinos really are taking jobs away from Whites. White people will take jobs as construction workers, waitresses and cooks if the Latinos haven’t swarmed in and depressed the wages. I’d like to see George W. Bush or Ted Kennedy explain who did all these jobs two or three generations ago before the Latinos started flooding into America. I’ve seen pictures of white people actually working in the fields and canneries not all that long ago. Many of the jobs Latinos take are “fluff” jobs as nannies, gardeners and store clerks. White people really should be mowing their own lawns just for the exercise. White teenagers should be working as baby-sitters and store clerks.
Latinos are terrible water-guzzlers. They have created the drought in the Southwest through simply coming here and almost doubling the water use. They have emptied the San Antonio aquifer to almost nothing every summer, lowering the water table until agriculture or even ranching becomes impossible. Rivers in Texas like the Brazos and the Rio Grande dry up into dust-choked gullies with only a trickle of water. Hard to believe that the drainage ditch along our border was once called the “Big River” (Rio Grande).
Look at where the drought is hitting hardest. How many illegal aliens are there in Texas? Florida? Southern California? And still they keep on pouring over our open borders. A few years from now, we may all be living with water rationing, due to our pathological inability to come to grips with the fact that we are being invaded by millions of people who do not belong here, who have no right to be here, and who must be apprehended and sent back to where they came from and then kept out of the US by force.
