PITTSBURGH -- Do you have change for a million?
Samuel Porter, 66, became enraged on Saturday when the cashier at a Pittsburgh Giant Eagle refused to give change for a counterfeit $1 million bill.
Porter reportedly slammed an electronic funds transfer machine into the counter and reached for a scanner gun.
Police arrested Porter and he is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
Since 1969, the $100 bill is the largest note in circulation. The largest note ever printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing was for $100,000 and pictured Woodrow Wilson. It never appeared in general circulation, and was only used in transactions between Federal Reserve banks.
